IRIX Music Video Contest – overview
IRIX Music Video Contest
Irix since 2015
Here at Irix, we’re passionate about championing talent, creativity, and innovation. So we’re proud to bring you the IRIX Music Video Contest. We want you to create an original music video lasting 2 to 5 minutes. It needs to be creative, innovative and, of course, on theme. It should showcase your ability to create quality material and use technical elements such as editing or colour grading. You can choose from three contest categories: Most Creative Music Video, Best Interpretation of the „Irix Look,” and Best Backstage Video.
We encourage you to push boundaries and take your storytelling to the next level. Think about how you can engage your audience, evoke emotions, and convey a message that resonates. Whether you’re experimenting with unique camera angles, integrating special effects, or playing with a narrative structure, this is your opportunity to show us your distinctive voice as a creator.
We’re seeking a vision that stands out, a story that lingers long after the video ends. So grab your gear, spark your imagination, and let the creative journey begin – your moment to shine is now!
IRIX Music Video Contest – Brief
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
In addition to the overall aesthetically appealing look and feel of the video, our Judges will be looking for:
-
Creativity and originality
-
Production quality
-
Theme compliance
-
Technical elements (special effects, editing, color grading, etc.)
There are three categories to choose from: Most Creative Music Video, Best Interpretation of the „Irix Look,” and Best Backstage Video. You can enter any or all categories. Each entry must be an original video lasting 2-5 minutes.
Most Creative Music Video
This can be any style of music video, shot in a creative and innovative way.
Best Interpretation of the „Irix Look”
This category is dedicated to those who already own Irix lens(es). It’s your time to use your Irix gear, and Irix gear only, to bring the „Irix look” to life through a music-centred story.
Best Backstage Video
This one is a mixture of the final music video shots and some making-of footage, showcasing different perspectives of the project, emotions of the crew members, the music plan, and everything in between.
